CULTURAL POWER You don't need a degree to have the Lord's blessing. They associate believers with people without culture. E.g. Paul, Luke, Joseph of Arimathea. Salvation is the same for everyone - free of charge. RELIGIOUS POWER This one really sticks. People want a place of prominence in religion (positions, functions, groups). It goes back to the example of Elisha (killing the oxen and burning them with the plow). The plow is a power that binds; what binds man to the ground must be destroyed. I MARRIED ME Commitment. 1st went to see, 2nd tried, 3rd got together.Saw it, liked it, got married (united).
