THE NEIGHBOR – Exodus 12:4

THE NEIGHBOR – Preaching

Preaching Outline Exodus 12:4 But if the family is too small for one lamb, then take one with your neighbor near your house, according to the number of the souls; each according to his eating, you shall count according to the lamb.

Introduction to Exodus 12:4

JUDGES

There was a purpose of God at that moment. To bring his people out of Egypt. And through the manifestation of various judgments, the Lord God was preparing the people and the world (Egypt). The plagues were the judgments for that time, but they also have a prophetic meaning. We can see this in our day. If we just look at the last two:

* Plague of Darkness – Points to a lack of knowledge of the truth. Natural man is far from God. He doesn’t know Him. He doesn’t do His will. He doesn’t know Jesus: the way, the truth and the life.

* Plague of the death of the firstborn – Points to the eternal damnation of the natural man. He who is not protected by the Blood of the Lamb.

Development

– If the family is small

– The family points to the church. The church is small before the Lamb.

The Lamb is too big for us. We can share and there will be plenty left over. He has abundance, everything we need: peace, love, forgiveness, hope, life. He has everything. That’s why you’ve been invited. God has an abundance. We need to invite, because the Lord has given us so much. He has wasted it. Many are in need and don’t know where to look. The church has discovered this (by revelation) and is announcing it.

– Reason for invitation

– Our blood is on the doorposts and lintel. Our hearts are free. It has life and eternal life. And we know that those who are in the same position will enjoy God’s blessings. That’s why we pray to God for you. We want the same good for everyone.

– The roast lamb. Jesus has been revealed by the Holy Spirit. And this knowledge has satisfied, satiated our souls. We know the truth of God. The Lamb who took away and continues to take away the sin of the world.

Conclusion of Exodus 12:4

– We are delivered from death, from condemnation. We taste God’s mercy.

– We are being prepared for the exit. The faithful church is being prepared for eternity.
