The stones had to be natural, as the Lord made them. Development The building of the altar speaks of the building of the Work in our lives. Each of the stones placed on this altar represents the Word of God and its teachings, which we have placed in our hearts through the operation of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We cannot "manipulate" or "sculpt" these stones. Man cannot touch the Work of God or leave his "imprint" on it in order to achieve his own interests or vanity. The Work of God must be in accordance with the Lord's will and there is no room for human impositions or ideas. No one can use positions, functions or even supposed spiritual gifts to carry out the Lord's Work according to the interests of their heart or reason. When someone conducts God's Work according to their own point of view, they defile the altar. The stones that exist in nature have the shape that the rain and the wind give them. The true servant of the Lord takes the form that what comes from above and from the Holy Spirit also gives him.
