Development Last week we looked at the four fundamental elements of worship, which were temporal and material: the victim, the priest, the temple and the day. After the death of the Lord Jesus, these four elements became part of the cult of grace, but in an eternal and spiritual way. All these elements merge in the glorious figure of the Lord Jesus. He therefore made the transition from the Old to the New Testament. First element The Temple - it was necessary to have the temple for the worship of the law. In the NT Jesus places himself as the temple, because through him we have communion with God "Jesus answered and said to them, 'Tear down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19 Second element The Priest - it was necessary to have a priest, according to the family of Aaron, the tribe of Levi, to do the worship. In the NT, Jesus is now the eternal priest. For this is how it is testified of him: "You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek" Hebrews 7:17 Third element: The victim - a victim was needed for the sacrifice in OT worship. However, in the NT Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29 Fourth element The Sabbath day was a day of rest in Israel, set apart to worship GOD. In the NT, true rest is in the glorious person of the Lord Jesus: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-3 ANSWER The main difference was that the basis of the worship of the law was the transitory, temporal elements, while the basis of the worship of grace is the eternal elements.With the death of the Lord Jesus, by pouring out your Holy Spirit, the veil of the temple is torn from top to bottom, unveiling the mysteries of God, we move on to the worship of grace, where everything is spiritual, permanent and we care about the prophetic, eternity. Jesus gives us the right to enter the Father's presence in his name. Conclusion Today we are in the period of grace and we can experience Eternity.
