Introduction to Joshua 19:1-9 The text read describes the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon, which was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah. Development The Lord chose the tribe of Judah to produce the Messiah, and he kept the kingdom in his hand from David until the last king crowned in Israel, who was the Lord Jesus himself (Matthew 27:29). The birthright belonged to Joseph, as we read in 1 Chronicles 5:1. But the Lord chose the tribe of Judah (Psalm 78:67-72). Judah represents the prophetic He was Jacob's fourth son (Genesis 29:35). In Judges 1:3, the tribe of Judah invites the tribe of Simeon: "Come up with me to my inheritance. And let us fight against the Canaanites, and I will also come up to your inheritance. And Simeon went with him." Conclusion of Joshua 19:1-9 The Lord Jesus extends the same invitation to the church: come with me to my inheritance - fight for it. Seek spiritual blessings, your salvation, and I will also be with you in your struggles in this life, and help you achieve victory.
